13 th International Conference on Emerging Nuclear Energy Systems 3 8 June 2007 İstanbul/Turkey Objectives The main objective of International Conference series on Emerging Nuclear Energy Systems (ICENES) is to provide an international scientific and technical forum for scientists, engineers, industry leaders, policy makers, decision makers and young professionals who will shape future energy supply and technology, for a broad review and discussion of various advanced, innovative and nonconventional nuclear energy production systems. The new dimension of ICENES2007 is to extend the forum, which will also comprise innovative nonnuclear technologies, such as hydrogen energy, solar energy, deep space exploration, etc. with emphasis on UNTHINKABLE IDEAS on sound scientific- technical basis. Earlier conferences were held in Graz (Austria), Lausanne (Switzerland), Helsinki (Finland), Madrid (Spain), Karlsruhe (Germany), Monterey (USA), Chiba (Japan), Obninsk (Russia), Tel-Aviv (Israel), Petten (The Netherlands), Albuquerque (USA) and Brussels (Belgium). The host organizations of ICENES2007 are Gazi University, Ankara and Bahçeşehir University, İstanbul Turkey. Furthermore, ICENES2007 is sponsored by Turkish Atomic Energy Authority (TAEK), International Centre for Hydrogen Energy Technologies of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO-ICHET) and American Nuclear Society (ANS), Turkish Scientific and Technical Research Council (TÜBİTAK), European Nuclear Research Center (CERN), Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Important dates: Deadline for abstracts (Extended to): 24 th November 2006 Notification of conference acceptance (Extended to): 10 th January 2006 Camera-ready manuscript due (Extended to): 30 th April 2007 Authors may use the Online Submission on the conference web page for sending ABSTRACTS or send them via directly to: with a cc to: Abstracts should be of 400 to 500 words in length and include sufficient information to explain and support the new and significant results to be presented in the proposed paper. The topical area appropriate to the abstract and the name and address of the author to whom correspondence should be addressed must be clearly stated at the top of the first page. To be considered for acceptance, author can send an abstract in.pdf or.doc format via . Proceedings The proceedings will be produced in the form of an interactive CD-ROM with an ISBN registration number.
