Getting there, Crans Montana Switzerland By Plane Flying to Geneva or Zurich airport is the most convenient. Both airports are well connected to Crans Montana, either by train or by car. By train From Zurich or Geneva you must take the mainline train toward Sion or Sierre. The train takes you alongside lakes, vineyards and mountains. A funicular also links Sierre to Crans Montana. There is also plenty of varied off-piste and this contributes to a strong boarding presence along with the snow park. The modern lift system goes hand in hand with the modernity of the resort and due to the fast moving lifts there are limited queues. Crans Montana is home to a world class championship golf course, which hosts the Omega European Masters each summer. The 9 and 18 hole golf courses surround the town centre and within the region, there are 2 other 18 hole courses to choose from. During the summer, various other events are held in this dual season resort, including the Festival Les Sommets du Classique and The Caprices festival.
