Please note, applications which are not received in accordance with this procedure will not be considered. You must provide the following documents: A copy of your CV (maximum 2 pages) Application Form Where to send your applications: (i) Please apply through the National Point of Contact (NPOC) corresponding to your State of residence/study; (ii) If there is no NPOC established in your State of residence/study, then you should contact the NPOC of your nationality; (iii) Only in the event that the ECSL has not established a NPOC in either your State of residence/study OR State of nationality, should you send your documents to the ECSL Executive Secretary Details of the ECSL s National Points of Contact can be found on the ECSL website at: Deadline: Applications should be received no later than Friday 26 th June. Application Criteria: Details of the application criteria that will be applied can be found on the ECSL website at: 1 Please complete all sections using CAPITAL LETTERS or typed. SECTION 3: SUPPORTING PROFESSOR [FOR STUDENT APPLICANTS ONLY] Please provide the following details of a Professor at your Faculty who is supporting your application: Name: Position: 2 SECTION 4: MOTIVATION, EXPERIENCE & INTEREST Please give details of your relevant experience and interest in international law and, if any, in space law (maximum 200 words). Please state your motivation for applying to the ECSL Summer Course and identify at least one issue in space law and policy that interests you and explain why? (maximum 300 words). STUDENT S SIGNATURE: DATE: SUPPORTING PROFESSOR S SIGNATURE: DATE: 4 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS Students are expected to arrive at the hotel in Caen on Sunday 30 st August. Departure is on Saturday 12 th August. Students will not be accepted who can only attend part of the course. Applicants must obtain and provide proof of adequate health, travel and civil liability insurance for the duration of the Summer Course. COSTS & EXPENSES Student applicants are not required to pay any course fees and receive accommodation free of charge. This is arranged in advance by the ECSL. Young Professional applicants and applicants from non-esa member states must be able to pay the course fee of Accommodation is included in this fee (arranged in advance by the ECSL). All applicants are expected to pay for their own transportation to and from the Summer Course as well as their food and other cost of living in Caen. Some pre-organised excursions will be covered by the ECSL; other excursions may be recommended to students at their own expense.
